Tom Yorke + MF Doom

It has been rumored that Tom Yorke(Radiohead lead singer) is working on a collaboration with rapper MF Doom. In a recent interview Doom said, "We're working on some duets." Yorke has worked with MF Doom in the past on a remix of "Gazzillion Ear," a track from the rapper's 2009 album Born Like This. This is a very interesting collaboration and I’m excited to see what these two talented artists will create.

B.o.B. vs. Odd Future

B.o.B has retaliated against Odd Future with a diss track entitled “No Future.” In Tyler the Creator’s track “Yonkers,” he takes a shot at B.o.B. by saying, “I’ll crash that F---ing airplane that that fa—ot  n---ga B.o.B was in and stab Bruno Mars in his goddamn esophagus.” B.o.B. apparently wasn’t too happy with the song.
B.o.B. offers some harsh words and goes in hard on the track. Tyler’s twitter response was similar to my thoughts about the whole thing: “Whoa. I Don’t Think The ‘No Future’ Song Is Even A Diss. But, Ive Never Heard Him Spit Like That. Took Me By Surprise, Cus Its Tight.”
I personally think that B.o.B. took it to far with the diss track. Obviously, odd future likes to take shots at celebs, reminiscent of early Eminem, one of the group’s influences. Tyler was just joking, but I guess its understandable why B.o.B. would retaliate. We’ll see what becomes of the apparent “beef.”

R.I.P. Nate Dogg

1969-2011

On March 15, Hip-hop lost one of its greats. Nate Dogg will be remembered as a pioneer of West Coast hip-hop and R&B. He was known for his innovative style of singing and rapping which came to be known as G-Funk. Nate Dogg gained attention for two tracks on Dr. Dre's 1992 debut 'The Chronic. He lent his baritone vocals to hits by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Warren G and earned a Grammy nomination for the track 'Regulate' in 1995. We lost a legend and Nate Dogg will be missed by many.

Odd Future member, Frank Ocean, is quickly on the rise. The 23 year old singer-songwriter from LA has garnered the attention of some big names in the game, including Diddy and Lupe Fiasco. He has written for Bieber, Brandy, and is now working with Beyonce. With his first mixtape, Nostalgia Ultra, just hitting the air-waves, he is already off to a hasty start. What do you think?
